Too often do I see a look of disappointment in the eyes of those I talk to when they find out that I live for myself and don't let anything get in the way of the future I wish for. The disappointment does not stem from my way of living, it stems from their inability to do the same. Many people choose to make decisions based on what others say or on a preconceived way in which things have been done, rather than on their own intuition. Wait for the right moment to devote your life to something and find what you are truly looking for. These pictures depict two women facing different obstacles in life but are bound together by one of the most common forms of settling - marriage. Though the wedding dress is symbolic of happy endings and bright futures, it can also be looked at in the reverse. A wedding dress, as used in my photos, is a symbolism of everything that is wrong in the world of personal decision making. Who is to say that one's hopes and dreams are an irrational thing to aim for?
